This isn't going to be a formal review. Basically, it's a pretty awesome figure. He is much more movie accurate than the previous movie figure.

As you can see, the new movie Prime is much taller than the 2007 version and looks quite different. The new figure looks much more like his movie self.

The Revenge of the Fallen vehicle mode is a tiny bit longer than the 2007 version. The transformation lines in the middle of the hood are no longer present on the new figure. There are also less transformation lines on the grill.
Some Things I Don't Like
- Unlike the 2007 version, this figure has plastic tires instead of rubber tires.
- Unlike the 2007 version, this figure doesn't have articulated fingers. It's not a big deal but it's a nice touch that was removed.
- I like the blades but it hinders the arm movement a bit and looks odd. It may have been better if they made attachable blades. It would have also been nice if they have given him a gun.
- The back wheels don't click on to anything and thus just hang there on a hinge. This is my biggest issue with the figure and the only thing I will actually deduct points for.
The toy includes a light and sound gimmick. He says, "I am Optimus Prime," in Peter Cullen's voice and his chest and eyes light up. He also makes an engine sound and the classic transforming sound.
The robot mode is awesome and my complaints about it are minor, so I give it at 10/10. The vehicle mode is also very nice but I will deduct half a point for my problem with the back wheels. Overall, it averages out to a 9.75/10
EDIT:
Despite the tip given by Heteromancer to fix the back wheels. I'm not going to change my rating because of the news that a Japanese version of this figure (known for now as "Buster" Prime) is supposed to come out with the fuel tanks turning into a gun. The head with also have a mouth instead of the mouth plate. This is actually a negative, but if they have a retractable mouth plate, that would be pretty cool. Also, the Japanese are known to put more chrome/silver paint on their figures so that would also make the figure better.
