Frenzy is red, Rumble is blue.
I finally have G1 Rumble and Frenzy, thanks to the Encore #19 - Cassette Big Mission 3 Set, and I'm quite thrilled about it!
The reason for the opening statement of this blog is because it has been long debated as to which of Rumble and Frenzy is red and which is blue. The reason for this debate is because the original G1 (Generation 1) cartoon depicted Rumble as blue but the toy-line labeled Frenzy as the blue one. I believe the comics followed the toy names and referred to Frenzy as the blue one as well. Well, I followed the cartoon, so it would be extremely weird in my mind to refer to the blue one as anything other than Rumble.
This isn't going to be a formal review. I just wanted to blog about something since I haven't written a blog in quite some time. Anyway, I think they are fantastic little figures and they alone are worth getting this set for. Oh yeah, this set also comes with Overkill (dinosaur) and Laserbeak.
I've never heard of Overkill before but he's not a bad little figure. Something cool about this re-issue is that most of the stickers are imprinted on. Only the rub symbols and Decepticon symbols are stickers, that is, except for Laserbeak. Laserbeak is an exact duplicate of previous re-issues.
Rumble and Frenzy have good leg articulation but limited arm movement. Their feet and shoulder joints are die-cast.
Overkill is mostly flat like Ravage except his legs split apart to give him some more depth. His mouth opens and his head tilts up and down.
They all come with chrome weapons, trading cards, cassette cases and one instruction sheet that contains all of their instructions.
I think Rumble and Frenzy are a must have for any die-hard G1 fan. Rumble (blue) is such an iconic character and the Rumble and Frenzy toys are so cool looking.

This is a TakaraTomy (Japanese) re-issue so I got them off eBay from someone in Hong Kong. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast they arrived (2 weeks). That's usually how long it takes stuff to arrive from the USA; I thought it would take much longer.
